    SCR INTENDS TO PROVIDE 15% GROWTH OF INDICATORS IN 2010 - GENERAL DIRECTOR

    YEREVAN, October 21. /ARKA/. "CJSC "South Caucasian Railway" (SCR)
    intends to provide 15% growth of indicators in 2010", said Shevket
    Shaydullin, General Director of SCR. "We concentrate on the increase
    of efficiency of using tractive rolling stock.

    It means management of expenses should be performed by the reduction
    of the number of rolling stock and increase of quality", he said
    on Wednesday in International Press cCnter "Novosti". Regarding the
    implementation of the budget for nine months of 2009, Shaydullin said
    that today the main income is coming from transportation and the budget
    of the company exceeds 50%. SCR did not increase the tariffs this year.

    "We bear responsibility for price increase of energy-carriers and
    the indicators of inter-country transportation show significant growth.

    But we did not have income according to the budget, despite the fact
    that we worked on the level of the previous year and the expenses
    are in the frames of normative", he said. During the nine months of
    this year the budget supply was implemented by 94% and there is loss
    in income.

    "Today the net loss in transportation is more than 120 million rubles.

    We plan to end the year with net loss of 160 million rubles. It is
    related to the fact that today we use the main funds, investment
    of technology and the railway itself is being formulated.", said
    Shaydullin. CJSC "South Caucasian Railway" is 100% affiliate of Open
    JSC "Russian Railway". CJSC "South Caucasian Railway" was transferred
    to the concession management of CJSC "SCR" according to Concession
    agreement signed on February 13, 2008. The terms of the concession
    management is 30 years with the right of prolongation for another 10
