ARMENIAN, TURKISH HISTORIANS AND ARCHEOLOGISTS TO MEET IN KARS?

will meet in Kars in the near future to discuss issues referring to
reconstruction of Ani, the medieval capital of Armenia. According to
Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism Ertugrul Gunay, preparation for
formation of a joint commission, which will decide on reconstruction
of Ani, is underway.
"Details are being discussed and you will see how the structure
functions soon. Joint cultural projects with participation of Armenian
and Turkish singers and musicians will be launched. Many of well-known
Turkish singers have Armenian roots and we are hopeful we will find
positivism in our relations," he said, Patronlar Dunyasi reported.
