AMBASSADOR OF RA RUBEN KARAPETIAN HANDS HIS CREDENTIALS TO PRESIDENT OF ITALY GIORGIO NAPOLITANO

ROME, OCTOBER 26, NOYAN TAPAN. Ambassador of RA to Italy Ruben
Karapetian on October 23 handed his credentials to President of Italy
Giorgio Napolitano.
In the conversation following the ceremony of handing the credentials
G. Napolitano said that Armenia is an important partner for Italy and
relations of Armenian and Italian peoples have a history of thousands
of years.
R. Karapetian, in his turn, stressed Armenian side's readiness to
raise relations with Italy to a new level. For that purpose he invited
Giorgio Napolitano to Armenia on behalf of the RA President.
According to the RA Foreign Ministry Press and Information Department,
at Italian President's request the Ambassador presented the last
developments in the negotiations processes of normalization of
Armenian-Turkish relations and settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh
conflict.
