    VIENNA CITY HALL TO GIFT 5 CONCERTS OF CLASSICAL MUSIC TO YEREVAN

    /PanARMENIAN.Net/ In the framework of "Vienna welcomes Yerevan"
    festival 5 concerts with the well-known Austrian and Armenian
    performers will be held in the Yerevan Chamber Music Hall from
    October27 to November 1.

    "Two years ago I attended a concert of the famous Austrian musician
    Anna Maria Pammer. Her performance inspired me so much, that I decided
    to organize a joint Armenian-Austrian Music Festival," Jean Sarkisian,
    composer and musician and the director of the festival, said.

    "The Armenian-Austrian festival will play an important role in the
    development of the Armenian and Austrian music, the festival ill
    present the two capitals, the two peoples in the same musical world,"
    Anna Maria Pammer, Austrian singer and one of artistic directors of
    the festival, said.

    "In Austria, there is a significant interest towards the program,
    and I am sure that the festival will acquire a continuing nature,"
    the German pianist Gottlieb Vallish, who is the other artistic director
    of the festival said.

    Tigran Mansuryan, whose romances will be performed by the Austrian
    soprano Anna-Maria Palmer at the final concert of the festival, said:
    "Vienna is a paradise in the world of music. One can be recognized
    in the music world, but if Vienna has not recognized you, it's bad,
    and vice versa ...".

    Works of exceptionally Armenian and Austrian composers, classical
    and contemporary will be presented to the audience: Rainer
    Bischof, Sebastian Temessla, Baldwin Sulzer, Tigran Mansouryan and
    Jean Sarkisian performed by singers Anna Maria Pammer, and Gayane
    Geghamyan, pianist Gottlieb Vallish and Anna Mandalyan, clarinetist
    Suren Khorozyan, as well as the Viennese quartet.

    Armenian-Austrian Music Festival will be held under the patronage of
    the Mayor of Vienna Michael Michael Haupl.
