ALEXANDER ISKANDARYAN: BOTH QUICK AND SLOW SCENARIOS OF RATIFICATION POSSIBLE

Political scientist Alexander Iskandaryan considers that the
normalization of the Armenian-Turkish relations will accelerate
the process of settlement of the Karabakh conflict. According to his
assessment, the pressure on Armenia will become an additional obstacle
for the process.
Alexander Iskandaryan refrained from speaking about the terms of
ratification of the protocols by the Turkish Parliament. He says both
quick and slow scenarios of ratification are possible. According
to him, prerequisites exist for both scenarios. However, different
political statements are not the proper basis for building predictions
and conclusions on.
In general, the political scientist considers that the normalization
of the Armenian-Turkish relations will have a great impact on the
region. It will result in the weakening of Georgia's role.
