Representative of the Republican Party of Armenia, MP Arman
Sahakyan rules out the opinion that the process of ratification
of the Armenian-Turkish protocols is deadlocked. According to him,
the opening of the Armenian-Turkish border can be expected next year
after the ratification of the documents in April, Sahakyan told a
press conference today.
"The Armenian-Turkish protocols will be ratified by April 2010,
the border will open and the economic benefits will become obvious,"
Arman Sahakyan considers.
"The Armenian producers will not have problems selling their production
if Turkish goods are imported," he said.
According to the MP, the approaches of the OSCE Minsk Group to
accelerate the process of settlement of the Karabakh issue have
nothing to do with the Armenian-Turkish relations. Arman Sahakyan
reiterated his Party's position on the issue. "The concessions are
out of the question until the status of Nagorno Karabakh is determined.
