No one in their right mind is prepared to go and wallow in disgrace,
said analyst Andranik Tevanyan, commenting on Armenian president
Serzh Sargsyan's pan-Armenian tour.
Serzh Sargsyan, in the expert's words, wasn't expecting such reception
from the Diaspora; if he knew about Diasporan Armenians' reception,
he wouldn't have gone on a tour.
Excluding the positive outcome of Armenian-Turkish rapprochement,
Tevanyan stated that "right now, it's necessary to think about what we
can do to withdraw from the process with the least amount of losses."
Tevanyan appealed to Armenian governing authorities to solidify
their position on the Nagorno-Karabakh issue, which "will provide
the opportunity to apply immediate pressure on Turkey."
In order that Armenia's governing authorities can reach the
fore-mentioned goal, in the analyst's opinion, individuals having
other approaches and ideologies must come to power, individuals who
will be able to "turn back this entire disgraceful [process]."
"Today, the leadership in Armenia is very weak, however, there
isn't that political strength, which will overtake that leadership,"
highlighted Tevanyan.
