SECOND EXPO-RUSSIA ARMENIA OPENS IN ARMENIAN CAPITAL CITY

YEREVAN, October 29, /ARKA/. Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan attended
today the opening of the second EXPO-Russia Armenia. Russian ambassador
to Armenia, Vyacheslav Kovalenko, read out a greeting statement
by Russian foreign minister Sergey Lavrov, which, particularly,
said that the peoples of Armenia and Russia have always been united
by spiritual closeness of their cultures, sharing also reciprocal
sympathy and strategic partnership.
The ambassador said such events are always a good platform for giving
a strong push to development of mutually beneficial cooperation.
"I am sure that the EXPO-Russia Armenia will make its contribution to
further deepening of cooperation between the two countries,' he said.
The exhibition has attracted over 60 Russian and Armenian companies.
It will run through October 31.
The exhibition's organizers are the Russian Federal Agency for CIS
Affairs and International Humanitarian Cooperation (RosCooperation),
Zarubezh Expo company, the Armenian Multi Group and the International
Association of Peace Foundations.
The first EXPO-Russia Armenia was held in 2008 in Yerevan with
participation of over 60 companies from 30 Russian provinces.
