FRANCE WELCOMED THE STATEMENT OF ARMENIA AND TURKEY

France welcomes the statement directed to the improvement of the
Armenian-Turkish relations, reads the release of the French President
Nicola Sarcosy on his official site.
"The President of France has received the statement of Armenia
and Turkey with satisfaction and hope. The statement concerned
the negotiation of Armenia and Turkey which are directed to the
establishment of the diplomatic relations of the two countries and
the opening of the boarder", - the statement reads.
The statement also says that France welcomes the authorities of Armenia
and Turkey and calls to double the efforts of the latter for coming
to an agreement.
"The president of the Republic thinks that the settlement of Armenian
and Turkish relations will become a historical event, which will
promote the stability of the region", - the statement says.
