One more family celebrated the home dedication in Khor Virap village
Today was a very special day for Torosyan family. They were celebrating
their home dedication with a Global Builders team, arrived to Armenia to
help those in housing need, with local volunteers. What is the most
important that the family is one of the 100 families around the world who
also became a today homeowners in the framework of Millard Fuller Legacy
Build project.
During the week of Aug. 30, Fuller Center covenant partners across the U.S.
and around the world built, renovated and dedicated homes with families in
need as part of the Millard Fuller Legacy Build project.
"It is very difficult for me to explain my feelings: it is happiness of a
mother who knows that her children, her grand children and grand-grand
children are from now on under a safe roof and they have now a healthy yet
simple place to live" said the grandmother Seda.
This was a simple dream of Millard Fuller: to support those in housing need
to become homeowners. It was a dream and all his life he made his dream come
true making happy thousand of families.
The founder of Fuller Center for Housing and Habitat for Humanity has left
this world for a better place in February 2009. The 100-house build is now
in celebration and honor of Millard Fuller's life and work.
The Fuller Center for Housing Armenia is working to eliminate poverty
housing by providing long term, interest free loans and by assisting with
volunteers helping low-income families to build simple, sustainable,
affordable houses and renovate their houses. For more information, please
