YOVANOVITCH TO VISIT TURKEY

U.S. Ambassador to Armenia Marie Yovanovitch will visit Turkey,
Taguhi Jahukyan, U.S. Embassy Press Secretary told NEWS.am.
Presently, Yovanovitch is in Georgia. "Ambassadors' visiting the
countries neighboring on the countries of accreditation is normal
practice. U.S. Ambassador to Georgia John Tefft visited Armenia
this spring and met with RA Foreign Ministry's officials," Jahukyan
said. She pointed out she is not informed the agenda of Ambassador
Yovanovitch's meetings in Georgia and Turkey.
However, the Georgian mass media report the Ambassador met with
Alexander Nalbandov, Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister. The officials
discussed Armenian-Georgian relations and other crucial issues. The
Georgian side outlined the recent positive dynamics in the relations
which meets both nations' interests. Both sides agreed to continue
communication on Georgian-Armenian cooperation.
