DIGITEC EXPO 2009 TO BE HELD IN YEREVAN IN OCTOBER

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 7, NOYAN TAPAN. The Union of IT Enterprises
(UITE) and the Enterprise Incubator Foundation (EIF) will hold the
5th annual DigiTec Expo 2009 at Yerevan's Karen Demirchian Sport
and Concert Complex on October 2-4, UITE Execitive Director Karen
Vardanian stated at the September 7 press conference.
In his words, the objective is to create a business environment for IT,
communication and hig-tech companies, business consumers and society,
and to encourage the extension of international relations and the
establishment of new business links.
"Digitec Expo 2009 is going to be a comprehensive and interesting
one. The participating Armenian and foreign companies will display
their goods and services in separate pavilions," K. Vardanian said.
EIF Director Bagrat Yengibarian underlined that the programs
implemented in the IT sector with the assistance of the Armenian
government will be presented in various pavilions. Among them are
such programs as Computer to Everybody, Ensuring the Internet Coverage
Throughout Armenia, Gyumri Technopark, as well as the latest solutions
of the electronic system at state government bodies.
More than 50 local and foreign organizations will take part in DigiTec
Expo 2009, during which various forums and seminars will be conducted
and the results of Armrobotics open contest will be summarized.
