SERZH SARGSYAN MEETS WITH GROUP OF FAMOUS ARMENIAN BUSINESSMEN FROM RUSSIA

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 7, NOYAN TAPAN. Issues ralated to the most efficient
use of the potential of the Diaspora, particularly of the Armenians
in Russia, and the promotion of the activities of the organizations
there were discussed at the meeting of Armenian President Serzh
Sargsyan with a group of famous Russia-based Armenian businessmen.
S. Sargsyan expressed a high opinion about the role of Armenian
businessmen living abroad in enhancing Armenia's reputation, preserving
Armenian identity and strengthening the Armenia-Diaspora relations. He
welcomed the readiness of the meeting participants to contribute to the
economic development of Armenia through various investment projects.
Noting that almost a year has passed since the last meeting in this
format, the president said this period enables to speak about the
agreements reached and the process of their fulfilment. In his words,
despite the difficulties caused by the global crisis, numerous programs
have been implemented.
According to the RA presidential press service, S. Sargsyan also
informed the businessmen about the recent developments in the country's
foreign and domestic policies.
