The heated discussions on the Armenian-Turkish relations shadowed an
important event in the Armenian-Georgian relations, NA Deputy Shirak
Torosyan considers. According to him, President Serzh Sargsyan's
statement at the annual meeting of the diplomatic corps was a turning
point in the contemporary history of Armenia.
"In fact, the President of Armenia pointed to the main problems
the Armenians of Javakhk face," MP Shirak Torosyan stated. He is
assured that Armenia will implement a certain policy to cooperate
with Georgian authorities.
According to Shirak Torosyan, Javakhk Armenians are inspired by this
breakthrough and hope that the results will not be late.
Turning to the Armenian-Turkish protocols, Shirak Torosyan said
they contain no worrisome points, particularly connected with the
Karabakh issue.
It's a different issue that Turkey may try to link the two issues
in the future. The Deputy says the Armenians of Javakhk have great
expectations from the improvement of the Armenian-Turkish relations
and opening of the border.
"Opening of the Armenian-Turkish border will greatly benefit Javakhk
Armenians," he said.
