COLLAPSED ROAD SECTOR TAKING TO BERD BEING RECONSTRUCTED

Reconstruction works of Aygehovit-Vazashen-Paravakar-Aygepar republican
road have kicked off.
Head of the Transport and Road Construction Department of Tavush
Governor's office Artak Sargsian told Armenpress that at present
construction works of ground base are being conducted.
The construction works of 1.3 km long road sector are intended to
be finished in 2009. The Government has released 200 million drams
for their implementation. The road has several times collapsed as a
result of the land slide and the final collapse that paralyzed the
traffic of the main way to Berd took place on June 11 this year. By
now the traffic to Berd is conducted bypassing the mentioned sector.
