UN SECRETARY GENERAL SAYS UN ARMENIAN OFFICE TO BE GUIDED IN ITS ACTIVITIES WITH PRIORITIES FOR ARMENIA

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 11, ARMENPRESS: Armenian permanent representative in
UN, ambassador Karen Nazaryan handed over September 10 his credentials
to the UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon.
Armenian Foreign Ministry media and information department told
Armenpress that at the conversation followed after the ceremony
the parties referred to the Armenia's involvement in UN and its
priorities as well as cooperation of the Armenian government and UN
Armenian Office.
The ambassador expressed pleasure toward the pace of programs
implemented by different UN agencies and funds in Armenia and
highlighted participation of Armenia's state establishments and
non-governmental organizations in 2010-2015 UNDP program development.
UN Secretary General on his part noted that the UN Armenian Office
will be guided in its activities with priorities for Armenia and
Millennium Development Goals.
The interlocutors also referred to the negotiations over Nagorno
Karabakh conflict regulation and normalization process of
Armenian-Turkish relations.
