Three Azerbaijani judoka qualify for European championship semi-final
in Armenia

Yerevan is hosting the European junior judoka championship. On the
first day of the championship, three Azerbaijani judokas have
qualified for the semi-final.
A total of five Azerbaijani judoka are representing the country in the
championship.
Azerbaijani Judoka, Ilgar Mushkiyev (55kg) joined the tournament from
the second stage. He won Victor Garsia (Spain) without any difficulty
and qualified for a quarter final, where he triumphed over French
Maxim Dufo. He will meet with the Romanian Judoka, Kosmin Lazarean at
the semi-final.
Another Azerbaijani Judoka, Rasim Asadullayev (60kg) joined the
contest from the second stage. First, he gained victory over the
Ukrainian Artem Kharchenko and in the quarter final, he won Andreas
Krassas (Cyprus). Thus, Asadullayev is close to wave the Azerbaijani
flag and sound the Azerbaijani National Anthem in Yerevan. For this,
he, first, must win Floren Urani in the semi-final.
Fagan Eminoglu (66 kg) also succeeded in his debut. He triumphed over
the Estonian Roopsin, Chedrik Besi (Montenegro) and Zlost Horjanast
(Hungary) and qualified for the semi-final, where he will meet with
Ukrainian Artem Buligo.
Other members of the Azerbaijani squad, Ramin Gurbanov (81kg) and
Elmar Gasimov (100kg) will join the contest during next days of the
championship.
