FORMER CHAIRMAN OF AZERBAIJAN'S PARLIAMENT SUPPORTS NORMALIZATION OF ARMENIAN-TURKISH TIES

The former chairman of Azerbaijani Parliament and the assistant
of the Prime Minister Rasul Guliev supports the normalization of
Armenian-Turkish ties, Turkish "Zaman" reports.
"Turkey can give preference to its interests but it does not mean they
will betray Azerbaijan. They will not leave Azerbaijani people in a
difficult situation, as Turkish people will not allow them do it,"
Guliev said.
Mr. Guliev gave interview to "Alternative policy" center making
observations on the Armenian-Turkish ties which are currently in the
stage of signed protocols.
"The matter is not only Karabakh issue. Turkey will give preference to
its interests in other issues also. Hence we should acknowledge that
even if Turkish politicians do nothing in favor of Azerbaijan they
will not do anything against us," Rasul Guliev said, Panorama reports.
