MONUMENT TO "ARMENIAN GENOCIDE" TO BE ERECTED IN MOSCOW - REPORT

A monument to the so-called genocide of Armenians, a claim of World War
I-era mass killings in the Ottoman Empire, will be erected in Moscow,
according to Erkramas, an Armenian-owned newspaper based in Russia.
The report says that the city commission in charge of sculpture met on
September 8 to discuss a proposal of the Union of Russia`s Armenians
to build a memorial to the victims of the alleged massacres in the
capital. The commission members approved of the suggestion, on the
condition that expenses will be paid by the Armenian organization.
