RAFFI HOVHANNISIAN IS IN ARMENIA
Tert.am
Sept 15 2009
Heritage Party Founder and ex-Leader Raffi Hovhannisian, who resigned
from his duties as MP, is in Armenia and it is he who will decide
the foundations, connected with his decision, to be presented to the
public, Heritage Party representative Stepan Safarian said today.
Safarian, together with the other press conference representative,
co-partisan Zaruhi Postanjyan, warned that he doesn't wish to speak
on the intraparty situation. Postanjyan advised journalists not to
stir up "so much noise."
"It's an ordinary situation which can occur in any political party;
we can say that we have already overcome the situation."
"It's incorrect to publish internal documents without anybody's
agreement -- including documents which are not confidential, but
closed documents," Safaraian said.
He also said that during the last elections, it was Armen Martirosian
who accepted or rejected decisions, according to the party's
established orders.
Commenting on the statements of ex-members who have left the party who
stated that those decisions have been illegal, Safarian noted that
"all the board decisions were taken in accordance with the party's
statutes."
