PRESIDENT SARGSYAN MEETS ULYANOVSK GOVERNOR

President Serzh Sargsyan today received the Government of Russia's
Ulyanovsk region Sergey Morozov. The delegation has arrived in Armenia
within the framework of the cooperation established with Shirak marz.
Greeting the guest, President Sargsyan said: "Russia is Armenia's
strategic ally and reliable partner, and we are interested in
developing our relations in all directions."
Attaching importance to inter-regional cooperation as an important
component of bilateral relations, President Sargsyan noted: "It is
no coincidence that I have started a series of visits to subjects
of the Russian Federation. Such visits have the potential to promote
economic ties."
Speaking about the perspectives of cooperation, the parties prioritized
the utilization of the existing economic potential and exchanged
views on the possible directions of cooperation.
Sergey Morozov said 15 000 Armenians live in Ulyanovsk and appreciated
their contribution to the socio-economic development of the region,
especially in the cultural field.
The Governor invited Serzh Sargsyan to visit Ulyanovsk region.
