USA WITHDRAWS RUSSIA FROM THE ARMENIAN-TURKISH NEGOTIATING PROCESS

ArmInfo. Russia was trying to interpose in the Armenian-Turkish talks
several times, but all was in vain. And suddenly President Obama's
new advisors interfere, the initiative was recaptured and Russia was
simply withdrawn from the negotiating process, although visually the
hand of America has not been noticed here, Russian political expert
Vladimir Zakharov told ArmInfo correspondent.

Zakharov added that all that was fixed in the Maindorf Declaration
dated 2 November 2008 when Moscow initiated meeting of presidents of
Armenia and Azerbaijan. But in two months arrangements were broken
because of the bellicose New Year statement of Ilham Aliyev who
promised to return Karabakh with a help of force.
