ARMENIAN FOREIGN MINISTRY: ARMENIA READY TO DEEPEN RELATIONS WITH EU

ArmInfo. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Karine Ghazinyan
met with European Commission Delegation to Armenia on Tuesday. Armenian
Foreign Ministry press-service told ArmInfo the European Commission
delegation comprises Mr. Rutger Wissels, Director for European Policy
and Foreign Affairs, Mr. Henrik Hololei, Deputy Director- General and
Mr. John Kjaer DG RELEX Head of Unit for Ukraine Moldova Belarus and
South Caucasus.
The source reported that the delegation is in Armenia to launch
discussions on the EU Eastern Partnership Project implementation.
The Delegation presented the upcoming programs as part of Eastern
Partnership Project and welcomed the high level of Armenia's
involvement in the project. Deputy Minister Ghazinyan, for her part,
said that Armenia is ready to deepen relations with the EU and hopes
for the Eastern Partnership Project to give a new impetus to the
Armenia-EU relations and the relations in the region. She highlighted
the necessity of facilitating EU visa regime for Armenian citizens. In
this context, Ghazinyan said the government is ready to establish
the necessary legal cooperation with the EU.
