RA President Serzh Sargsyan is ready to sign Armenia-Turkey
protocols as they go, said Armen Rustamyan, representative of the
ARF Dashnaktsutyun Supreme Board after the President's discussion of
Armenia-Turkey relations with political forces.
According to Rustamyan, "Although the President acknowledges risks
the Protocols entail, sharing many of our concerns, he goes on with
his position that the Protocols as they go constitute no danger for
Armenian side."
"Realizing all possible risks, the authorities nevertheless are
confident of their power and their capability to neutralize all
these threats. A question here arises, who will be the first and more
effective in taking corresponding steps, Armenia or Turkey?" Rustamyan
wonders.
Armenia-Turkey Protocols were released on August 31, pending to be
signed and ratified by both Parliaments.
