'ARARAT'S TWO PEAKS WOULD SOONER COLLIDE...' MARXIST LEADER SPEAKS

Armenia
Today Marxist Party Leader David Hakobyan spoke about his speech
during yesterday's meeting with the President of the Republic of
Armenia Serzh Sargsyan and a number of the country's party leaders,
which, in his words, he summed up in two sentences:
"Honourable Mr. Nalbandian, tell my dear Hillary Clinton, that
the dirty waters of Araks river would sooner stop, than the signed
territories of historical Artsakh [Nagorno-Karabakh] will be given
to Azeri Turks. Sis and Masis [Ararat's two peaks] would sooner
collide than the Armenian nation will give up its material and
territorial claims. That, which is the axis of these entire document
deals [referring to the Armenian-Turkish Protocols]." The meeting,
however, in the Marxist leader's words, passed in a very warm, creative
atmosphere, which, in his opinion, will have its own positive results.
Referring to the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF-D),
Hakobyan said he thanked ARF-D and participated in their signature
collection. He also noted that this is a national issue, one in which
the entire Armenian nation must unite.
