Armenian-Turkish Protocols' consultations is a new political culture
which must definitely be welcomed, the Director of Armenia's Institute
of Philosophy, Sociology and Law of the National Academy of Sciences,
corresponding member Armenia's National Academy of Sciences, Gevorq
Poghosyan says regarding to the yesterday's meeting of President with
leaders of 52 parties.
"This is practicing in developed countries. It is important that
decisions not to be made by one person. We still argue that our economy
is not developed. Yesterday's meeting is a proofl that we are trying
to use democratic methods," said Mr. Poghosyan.
On Mr. Poghosyan's opinionб the consultations are useful for
authorities to clarify the attitudes of political parties and various
social stratums and make decisions for the benefit of the people
and country.
Some opposition parties' objections against border reopening
Mr. Poghosyan commented as follow:
"All these people including oppositional forces, do not object to
border reopening but do so against assignments that these documents
contain. Thus, they are against border reopening."
