The crimes against Armenians in Russia since Soviet times are
unchanged, declared RF Embassy Advisor to Armenia Victor Krivopuskov
adding that "death of every Armenian lacerates his heart."
Krivopuskov reckons that the information on Armenians' murders in
Russia builds up conjunctural and negative opinion in Armenia. He
considers, instead of cooperation with Russian mass media, Armenian
press "floods the news on a regular murder without seeing into the
matter".
Besides, the law enforcement agencies often slow in providing the
information on impulses, identity and nationality of the criminal.
Russian diplomat assumes that to some extent Armenian Diaspora in
Russia is guilty of such state of affairs, as Armenian culture is
advocated ineffectively. Krivopuskov said, that "Armenian events were
inaccessible for Russians for a good while."
According to Krivopuskov, 70% of the crimes in Russia are committed
on community level, not ethnic and only 30% -- by Russians.
