The greatest victory for 18 years is a feeling of decent life,
involvement in your country's fate, liberation of Artsakh and the
victories gained there. All this is of the greatest value to me. This
is a lasting process. The aspiration to live dignified life needs
a continuous improvement and reinforcement. It is done once and for
all," Pan-Armenian Movement member Aram Manukyan told NEWS.am.
According to him, current authorities hurl all efforts into the
struggle against it "so that people's hope for a good life withers
away. It is a disruptive process.
"The authorities try to bring back the former lifestyle, when we lived
under false colours, which is a display of irresponsibility. That is,
let others determine our country's fate and use our resources, while
we will not take responsibility and instead retain our power. The
greatest loss ever is when the lust for power dominates over the value
of independence. Currently, we are on this stage," Manukyan stated.
On September 21, 2009 Armenia celebrates the 18th anniversary of its
independence. Eighteen years ago 99% of RA citizens voted for the
country's independence.
