/PanARMENIAN.Net/ Uncertainty of Armenian-Turkish relations arouse
local industrialists' concerns, according to Vazgen Safaryan, head
of Union of Manufacturers of Armenia.
"Armenia imported Turkish goods to the amount of $269 million. Export
totaled $1.8 million in 2008," he said. "We export leather, ferrous
metal and aluminum items. Cable, knitted fabric and bitumen are
imported," he said.
He remarked that Turkish government's damping policy offers advantages
to its industrialists.
"We should also encourage local producers, specifically food
producers," Safaryan said.
