/PanARMENIAN.Net/ Eduard Sharmazanov, spokesman for the ruling
Republican Party of Armenia, said he is disappointed with the recent
statement ANC leader Levon Ter-Petrosyan made.
Addressing the demonstrators last Friday, Ter-Petrosyan said he
will run for President in case of preterm election "only if Robert
Kocharian is not nominated."
"It's an approach demonstrated by an ambitious person. Ter-Petrosyan
is struggling against Armenia's second President Robert Kocharian
but not for the national interests," Sharmazanov said, adding that
ANC rating is falling.
"Rallies are organized in order to maintain the opposition electorate
till 2012 parliamentary elections," he said.
