    /PanARMENIAN.Net/ Great composer Tigran Mansuryan is this year
    celebrating his 70th birthday. On September 29, Yerevan will host a
    jubilee concert dedicated to this anniversary. Concert program
    includes musical pieces created by Mansuryan in different periods of
    his creative acivity (1965-2009). Particularly, audience will have the
    chance to listen to `Serenade', `Yerevan Mulberry Yard', `Testament',
    `Three Plays in Thick Colors', `The Art of Creation' (choir song) etc.

    `Any jubilee concert is perceived as a gift and sign of attention,
    which is so important for someone who creates,' maestro said in an
    interview with a PanARMENIAN.Net correspondent.

    Several musicians and organizers of Yerevan Music and `National
    Gallery' festivals, as well as lovers of Mansuryan's creative art have
    this year organized concerts dedicated to maestro. Mansuryan's "Agnus
    Dei", Sting Trio, "Con anima", `Sunset Songs', `Partite' and `Alt and
    Orchestra Concert No. 2' were played in National Gallery's fresco hall
    and State Philharmonic Orchestra's big concert hall.

    Tigran Mansuryan was born on January 27, 1939 in Beirut (Lebanon). In
    late 1940s he moved to Soviet Armenia. In 1965, he graduated from
    Yerevan State Conservatory (creative instructor: Lazar Saryan) and in
    1968 he completed his post-graduate education. In 1963-64, Mansuryan
    was a concertmaster in Yerevan Choreographic College. In 1964-65, he
    worked as musical editor for Armenian Radio and TV Company.
