"Heritage" MP Zaruhi Postanjyan will not participate in the session of
the Monitoring Committee on the first day of the PACE Fall Session on
September 28.
"The Monitoring Committee already denied my participation, explaining
that one oppositionist deputy, Armen Rustamyan, will participate in
the session. I must say that Armen Rustamyan has participated in the
Monitoring Committee session two times, but that didn't prohibit them
from denying me. The application of these double standards by the CE
Monitoring Committee go to show that the CE currently has a political
decision and that is to not touch upon the fulfillment of the
resolution on Armenia that it has passed," Mrs. Postanjyan told "A1+"
today.
In any case, Mrs. Postanjyan is preparing to leave for Strasbourg and
participate in the PACE plenary session.
"I don't expect the PACE to take measures to make sure Armenia
implements the approved resolutions," said Zaruhi Postanjyan.
Postanjyan told "A1+" that she is ready to transmit the evaluations
and viewpoints of all political parties that are truly concerned over
issues related to democracy and human rights in Armenia.
