Issue of Armenia not on initial variant of agenda of PACE coming
    session

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 25, NOYAN TAPAN. PACE autumn session will be
convened between September 28 to October 2 in Strasbourg. The Armenian
delegation led by Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on State and
Legal Issues, RPA member David Haroutiunian will also take part in the
    session.

The issue directly regarding Armenia is not on the initial variant of
the session agenda. The issue on the process of fulfillment of PACE
Resolution N 1677 on activity of democratic institutions in Armenia
will be discussed at the Monitoring Commission September 28 sitting. It
should be mentioned that the issue was to have been discussed at the
Commission's sitting held on September 9 in Paris but the discussion
failed as the agenda was full.

According to the PACE official website, autumn session's most important
subjects are the challenges emerging in consequence of the climate
changes, the situation a year after the Russian-Georgian war, election
of a new Council of Europe Secretary General. In addition to other
issues, PACE will also discuss the suggestion of 72 parliamentarians on
revision of the powers of Russia's delegation.
