/PanARMENIAN.Net/ Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan attended Saturday
the construction site of Yerevan heating plant.
`Construction works are at the final stage. The launch is scheduled
for April 30, 2010,' heating plant director Hovakim Hovhannisyan told
reporters before the President's arrival.
`The launch of the 271-megawatt heating plant is extremely important
for Armenia, since it will allow processing of 1 kilowatt-hour of
energy with half as much use of gas,' he said.
For his part, RA Energy Minister Armen Movsisyan said that `with such
technical feasibility, the plant will the region's leader.'
Asked whether the energy will be exported, Minister Movsisyan said the
internal market will be supplied first of all.
