ARMENIAN MINISTRY OF DIASPORA AFFAIRS: 1-YEAR-OLD'S DEVELOPMENT

"I believe that Armenia's President Serzh Sargsyan's item of developing
a Ministry of Diaspora which he voiced in electoral program came true,"
said Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakopyan summarizing 1-year-work.
Armenian Ministry of Diaspora Affairs was established on 1 October,
2008 and has carried out various programs and projects.
Briefing the Ministry's 1-year-work Mrs. Hakopyan pointed that was
founded real platform for Diaspora, laws and government programs have
been enacted.
"The second part of work included team-building, of the civil service
competition organization, passports developing, ministry's structure
founding, and logistical database involving."
The third part included financial block, and the last one - ideological
items linked with Armenia-Diaspora relations and concept developing.
"Ministry of Diaspora foundation means that numerous Armenian
programs have pan-Armenian nature. In addition, all this includes
executive bodies and public organizations' cooperation with Armenian
communities."
