Karen Bekarian said that Armenian government should urge citizens
against traveling to Turkey.
"We haven't got an Embassy in Turkey, and haven't got any resident
representative, who could defense interests of Armenian citizens
and stand in defense of them if it is necessary; issue of protecting
Armenian citizens in Turkey remains open," he said.
According to Karen Bekarian, statements by Turkish Prime Minister
Erdogan on expelling Armenians is nothing else, but racism, as Erdogan
threatened to expel only migrants of Armenian origin.
"Everyone, who goes to Turkey, should know that he would be defended
there. I think, it would be a right step, if Armenia's Foreign Ministry
issued a statement," he added.
