ArmInfo. VivaCell-MTS, a subsidiary of "Mobile TeleSystems" OJSC,
informs that its staff members participated in preparatory works for
planting 95 trees in the park of Tsitsernakaberd in the frames of
the campaign organized by FPWC.
The event was organized by the "Foundation for the Preservation of
Wildlife and Cultural Assets" (FPWC) and was one in the series of
events devoted to Earth Day - April 22, within the Green Generation
2010 Campaign.
On April 10 VivaCell-MTS staff members will join again in a volunteer
group and take the opportunity to plant some trees on behalf of their
company at Tsitsernakaberd. In doing so VivaCell-MTS employees are
guided by the belief that a positive environmental difference should
be made to contribute to better tomorrow of Armenia.
Going beyond just planting trees, the initiative seeks to mark the
anniversary of the Genocide. The peak point of the Green Generation
2010 Campaign will be a solemn tree planting ceremony on April 22 in
the park of the Genocide Memorial Tsitsernakaberd. During the ceremony
95 trees will be planted to honor the victims of the Armenian Genocide
and to remind us all that the new generation has to care for the
future without forgetting the past.
