MINISTER NALBANDIAN MEETS OIF SECRETARY GENERAL

On April 7 the Foreign Minister of Armenia, Edward Nalbandian,
received the Secretary General of the International Organization of
the Francophonie (OIF) Abdou Diouf.
Minister Nalbandian welcomed the first visit of the OIF Secretary
General to our country and expressed confidence that it would give
new impetus to the process of Armenia's integration with the OIF.
Expressing gratitude for the warm reception, OIF Secretary General
Abdou Diouf underlined that the relations with Armenia considerably
developed after our country jointed the OIF as an associated member
in 2008.
The interlocutors talked about the steps targeted at deepening of
political, economic and cultural ties between OIF member states.
Minister Nalbandian underlined that "Armenia is committed to the
values of the Organization and will make efforts to participate in
the activity of the International Organization of the Francophonie. "
