Armenian President's meeting with Turkish Prime Minister in Washington
may have a positive impact on the rapprochement process, according
to a member of the Republican Party of Armenia, (RPA).
"I don't suppose that April 24 is the deadline for ratification of
Protocols. It's incorrect to set terms when neither the state systems
nor nations are prepared for reconciliation," Artak Zakaryan told
a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter during a news conference in Yerevan on
April 8.
"The Armenian-Turkish process will be ruined if the sides fail to
find common ground. Diplomatic terms for ratification of Protocols
have expired, however, the mechanism of 'reasonable political terms'
is still in effect," he said.
