Villages Do Not Attract Even the Rich: Lernik Aleksanyan
12:50 - 10.04.10
`There is no intermediate ring between the Ministry of Agriculture and
our villagers,' a Republican Party of Armenia Deputy Lernik Aleksanyan
said at a press conference today devoted to the topic of creating
farming co-operations.
Aleksanyan at the same time mentioned that the Ministry of Agriculture
does take steps to regulate the sector, but the ministry staff does
not have a clear idea of the problems the villagers have.
`Today the villager is alone and has problems in the judicial field,
problems related to irrigation water system,' said Aleksanyan, adding
that a coordinated program is necessary to improve the life of
villagers and life in villages in general.
He also mentioned that today villages do not attract even the rich who
will in no case invest there.
