Arminfo. I don't think that the meetings between President of
Armenia Serzh Sargsyan and Barack Obama or Erdogan in Washington can
bring any positive for us movements in the negotiating process on
normalization of the Armenian-Turkish relations, the leader of the
Armenian Ramkavar-Azatakan party Harutyun Arakelyan said at today's
press-conference.
'It is mo secret to anybody that Washington and Ankara acting
in full accord today, including in the matter of Armenian-Turkish
rapprochement. The recent statement by US Secretary of State Hillary
Clinton may be taken as an example, that the problem of the Armenian
genocide should be settled by the commission of historians', -
he said. He also added that many American corporations on weapon
production are conducting an active lobby activity in the American
Congress directed against discussion of the resolution on the
Armenian genocide. He thinks one must not trust in the 'emotional
burst of activity' of western politicians which say about justice,
human rights, as global economical interests is the key factor.
