Before leaving for the U.S., Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip
Erdogan stated that in the course of Washington visit staple of the
talks will be the normalization of relations with Armenia and Karabakh
conflict settlement.
"Beyond participation in the Global Nuclear Security Summit, I will
meet with U.S. President Barack Obama. I sent my Special Envoy to
Yerevan and Baku to convey my messages to Armenian and Azerbaijani
presidents. We will have a chance to discuss our activities with
Washington. We wish OSCE MG Co-chairs to step up peacemaking efforts
in the region and yield results. I spoke to OSCE MG Co-chairing
presidents Obama, Medvedev and Sarkozy. We will touch upon the matter
in the course of bilateral meetings," Erdogan said.
April 12, Sargsyan-Erdogan meeting will be held in Washington.
According to Turkish media, the meeting will start at 6.30 p.m.
