The President of the Republic of Armenia attends the Groundbreaking
Ceremony for Future Dilijan International School of Armenia, a unique
    education institution

    Dilijan, Armenia - April 12, 2010 - A groundbreaking ceremony to mark
the beginning of construction of the Dilijan International School of
Armenia took place on the 9th of April 2010 in Dilijan in the North West
Province of Armenia, 90km from the capital, Yerevan.

This event represents an unprecedented initiative, the first of its kind
in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).

The founders of the Dilijan School project, Ruben Vardanian, Chairman
and CEO of Troika Dialog group, Russia's largest investment bank, and
his wife Veronika Zonabend received prominent guests amongst whom were
Serzh Sargsyan, the President of the Republic of Armenia, Armen
Ashotyan, the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of
Armenia and Armen Ghularyan, Governor of Dilijan Region, as well as many
friends and supporters of the project.

They were shown the architectural plans and told about the inspirational
    vision for Dilijan School.

The President of Armenia symbolically planted the first of many trees in
the heart of the School Campus. It is envisaged that each major stepping
stone in Dilijan School's life will in future be represented by a tree.
Together with the area's natural beauty, Dilijan International School of
Armenia will with the planting and subsequent growth of further trees
symbolise the school's vision and values and reflect relationships
established early in life to form our networks for life.

Serzh Sargsyan, President of the Republic of Armenia commented on this
    unique project:

"It is very important to have an educational center which meets modern
standards in Armenia, especially in this region".
