The winners of the fifth Russian Award literary competition have been
named in Moscow.
This is the only Russian award for Russia-speaking poets and writers
living abroad.
The House where... by Mariam Petrosyan from Armenia was named the
best in the "Big Prose" category and The Real Name by the US-based
Maria Timatkova came out on top in the "Best Poem."
The Russian Award was established in 2005 with an eye to preserving
and promoting the Russian language as a unique cultural phenomenon.
