Turkey opposes politicization of historic events, Turkish Prime
Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated.
"Ankara speaks against unfair andone-sided parliamentary resolutions
on recognition ofArmenianGenocide. History should be studied
by experts;parliaments are unfit for study and condemnation of
history," he said at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA."Foreign
parliaments'assessmentof historic events won't benefit Armenia."
"Those supporting passage of such resolution should be awareoftheir
actions, lest theymight harm the dialogue between Turkey and
Armenia,"TRT-Russianquoted Erdogan as saying.
