HOVIK ABRAHAMYAN CONDEMNS TURKEY FOR DRAGGING OUT PROTOCOLS RATIFICATION

On April 12, Lebanese President Michel Suleiman met with visiting
speaker of Armenian parliament Hovik Abrahamyan to discuss bilateral
relations and regional issues, the RA NA press office reported.
Commenting on Armenian-Turkish Protocols, the RA NA speaker
characterized linkage of Karabakh issue to ratification of Protocols
as unacceptable. "Armenia seeks to establish neighborly relations
in the region; however we'll never sacrifice our national dignity,"
he stressed.
For his part, the Lebanese President emphasized the importance
of peaceful settlement of conflicts and assessed highly the
Armenia-Lebanon cooperation within international institutions.
Dwelling on Karabakh issue, Mr. Abrahamyan noted that NKR people's
right to self determination and security of Karabakh people are the
cornerstones of conflict settlement. "Other than that, Armenia is
open to mutual concessions."
