YEREVAN TO HOST ARMENIAN-EGYPTIAN INTERGOVERNMENTAL COMMISSION MEETING IN SEPTEMBER

Armenian Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Territorial Administration
and Co-Chair of the Armenian-Egyptian intergovernmental commission
Armen Gevorgyan received Wahid Eldin Ismail Galal, the Ambassador of
Egypt to Armenia.
They discussed organization of the Armenian-Egyptian intergovernmental
commission meeting in Yerevan in September, the press service of the
Armenian Ministry of Territorial Administration reported. To clarify
the fields and directions of cooperation before the commission meeting,
the sides agreed to organize a business congress, which is planned
to be held in August-September.
During the meeting it was noted that Egypt emphasizes cooperation
in the fields of telecommunications, information technologies,
communication, tourism, medicines production, as well as the
possibility of implementation of Smart Village program in Armenia.
Armen Gevorgyan also considered these fields to be promising, adding
that Armenia is interested in boosting friendly relations with Egypt.
