    RA POLICEMEN ENSURE SECURITY AND SAFETY OF KARABAKHI PEOPLE: NKR PRESIDENT

    April 16, NKR President Bako Sahakyan met with policemen and attended
    a solemn ceremony devoted to 8th anniversary of the establishment,
    NKR presidential press service informed NEWS.am.

    Addressing the attendees, he said: "Dear policemen and veterans! I
    cordially congratulate you on Police Day. I hold in veneration for
    the memory of servicemen who died defending the Motherland. Eternal
    glory and honor to them!

    This traditional holiday is a good opportunity to estimate the carried
    out activities and further plans, recall neglects and achievements,
    minimize weaknesses in order to ensure and achieve success.

    You have chosen a very difficult and responsible vocation, that to
    a large extent provides restful and secure life of our people being
    permanently in the highlight. It is extremely crucial for our young
    democratic republic that opted for democracy and claims put on Karabakh
    police are conditioned by this.

    Protection of civil rights and liberties, maintenance of law and
    order, struggle against crimes are the issues to b implemented by
    every serviceman providing daily meticulous and vigilant work, high
    professionalism, active citizenship and human qualities. I want to
    be confident that our Police hold the necessary potential to solve
    these issues accordingly.

    The NKR authorities will keep doing their utmost to improve social
    and working conditions for the policemen, update technical equipment
    and enhance service efficiency.

    Dear servicemen, I congratulate you once again on your professional
    holiday, wishing you peace, good health and all the best," the
    president concluded.
