THE COMMEMORATION OF THE 95TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE ARMENIAN GENOCIDE IN PARLIAMENT

A reception hosted by the Joint Committee for the Commemoration of the
95th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide is being held at 6:00 p.m.
on Wednesday April 14th, 2010 in Room 200 of the West Block, Parliament
Building in Ottawa.
On this occasion, Armenians everywhere will mourn their martyrs,
celebrate their rebirth, and renew their commitment to stand for
truth and justice for all the victims of genocides in the world.
All of the Armenian organizations operating in Canada have united under
the auspices of the three religious denominations to jointly organize
events across Canada that will commemorate this milestone anniversary.
Invitations have been sent to all parliamentarians, members of the
diplomatic corps and dignitaries.
Rabbi Dr. Steven Leonard Jacobs, Aaron Aronov Endowed Chair of Judaic
Studies at the University of Alabama and a long time member of the
International Association of Genocide Scholars (IAGS) will be the
guest speaker.
