DUTCH PROFESSOR DELIVERS DETAILED REPORT ON ARMENIAN GENOCIDE IN AMSTERDAM

Amsterdam University professor Anthony Holslag, the author of "On
the stones of Ararat", has recently delivered a detailed report on
"Comparative analysis of the genocide carried out towards the Armenians
during the WWI period" at the University.
He presented a detailed analysis of the social side of the Armenian
Genocide issue and the impact the mass violations have on the Armenian
communities of the Netherlands and Britain by now.
According to the Armenian Foreign Ministry, in his report the scholar
referred to the phenomenon of the genocide as a challenge to the
humanity and condemned other comments. Genocide is an intention of
annihilating a person, he described.
A. Holslag said he studied the genocide issue not as a political
crisis, but as a dynamic, symbolic act, which allows to observe
the consequences of the terrible phenomenon from social and public
viewpoints.
University professors and students, representatives of the Armenian
community were present.
